Ron Dehn's Signature Mug

I am lucky enough to be in the mature potters group at CSU-Pueblo. Vicky Hansen is the ceramics professor at CSU-Pueblo and she is talented and knowledgeable and all-around fantastic. Ron Dehn is in the mature potters group too. He is a really nice guy. He gave me this mug, and then when I told him that my sister was jealous about it, he gave me one to give to my sister too.

He has been doing ceramics for decades. His mugs are easily identifiable. He likes having them wider on the bottom and more closed on the top in order to keep the coffee or tea warm. He makes faceted sides. He has a thumb rest on his handle. He likes to spray on the glaze. I think it gives the mug a landscape and kind of a rustic feel. I love this mug and enjoy reaching for it for the morning java. Ron does excellent work.
